The time-tabled trains are being run to facilitate parcel customer to book their parcel in a particular train and get their delivery of consignment as per the the schedule time of arrival at the destination.

Indian Railways list of time tabled parcel trains in which customer can book their parcels.

Under the Kisan Rail Project, potential circuits for movement of vegetables, fruits and other perishables are being identified in consultation with Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/Fisheries Departments of State Governments.

50% subsidy in freight (borne by Ministry of Food Processing Industries), is being granted on notified fruits and vegetables, when transported through Kisan Rail services.

100th Kisan Rail service was flagged off by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 28.12.2020 (Sangola to Shalimar).
